The Board of the Village of South Jacksonville, led by Christina G. Butler, has a meeting schedule as follows:
* First Thursday of the month at 7:00 PM for Village Board meetings, where important votes on action items take place.
* Third Thursday of the month at 6:30 PM for Committee of the Whole (COTW) meetings, which are generally where the discussions occur regarding matters of South Jacksonville governance.
During Board meetings, decisions are typically made based on the discussions held during the prior COTW meeting.

About Trustee Christina G. Butler
Christina G. Butler is a newly appointed Trustee for the Village of South Jacksonville. With a background spanning four state governments and experience in both legislative and executive roles, she brings a data-driven, transparent approach to South Jacksonville governance. Christina holds a degree in Political Studies and currently serves as a Project Manager in the Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services’ Division of Finance.
Through this blog, she shares summaries of Village Board meetings and personal reflections on civic engagement, accountability, and public service. Her goal is simple: to make local government easier to understand and encourage more residents to take part in shaping the community’s future.
